Sari Soy and Milk Cows, Which Is More Healthy Body?

Milk or cow's milk is often used as a complementary nutritional intake daily. However soymilk or better known as bean milk was no less popular. Equally much favored various circles, which is healthier?

According to nutritionists Ongko Jansen, MSc, RD, soya milk is actually not. This drink has a texture and color similar to cow's milk alone so often called 'milk'. Though quite different in terms of content.

"Another Abortion, just carbohydrates alone. If there is a cow milk fat, no protein, while soy milk was dominant in carbohydrates. In terms of nutritional content, just as healthy. Staying in combination with other nutrients," said Jansen.

Quoted from ABC Australia, Tuesday (17/03/2015), a nutritionist Curtin University, Australia, Denise Griffiths revealed that although soy is often considered to be more healthy, but it does not automatically make this material as a better choice than milk in every case.

"If you are accustomed to eating full-fat milk or full-fat, soya could be a better alternative. But if the dairy products you eat pretty well, for example, low-fat or low-fat, it does not need to be replaced with soymilk," Griffiths light.

The reason someone is recommended to drink cow's milk is because the product is one of the most complete nutritional food. Calcium in cow's milk is easily absorbed by the body, especially when compared with other calcium-rich intake like broccoli.

Meanwhile, soya is a good source of iron, fiber (which you can not get in milk) and other vitamins. Processed soy also contains antioxidants known as isoflavones or phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens are compounds found in plant foods such as nuts, flaxseed and soy-based foods.

Several studies have shown that consumption of foods containing phytoestrogens health benefits, one of which reduces the risk of certain hormonal cancers (breast and prostate). And certainly, soymilk contains less saturated fat than cow's milk. Therefore, Griffiths advise you to take both of them in turn to get the respective benefits.
